How it works

Desher Kaj is a simple idea: a list of work for every area of the country, that anyone can take up, and that is finished with proof. No politics, no parties. Areas, people, work.

How it works

  1. Pick a task

Go to your district on the map, or search the list. Every task has its steps, what it needs and how long it takes.

  2. Join the team

Ask to join. Once the area leader accepts you, the team chat opens and the work is shared out.

  3. Do it, show the proof

Before and after photos, receipts, whatever the task asks for. Send the report when it is done.

  4. Verified, then green

The area leader checks, then we do. Once verified, the points land and the area turns green on the map.

Who does what

Volunteers
Pick a task, join the team, do it, show the proof. Inside the country or abroad, wherever you are.
Area leaders
Look after a district or an upazila. They accept requests, share out the work, and go to see it when it is done. There can be more than one.
Reviewers
Approve the tasks that come in, and give the final sign-off after the leader's check.
People with ideas
Write what needs to change and how. If it gets the votes it becomes a task, and they get points too.

How points work

  • 1An easy task gives 10, a medium one 25, a hard one 50 points to each person on the team, once verified.
  • 2The team lead gets one and a half times that.
  • 3The leader who goes to verify gets a fifth of the task's points; so does whoever submitted the task.
  • 4When an idea becomes a task, whoever wrote it gets 10 points.

How verification works

When the work is done the team sends a report: what happened, how many hours it took, and the proof the task asked for, such as before and after photos, receipts or video. The area leader checks it (nobody verifies their own work), then one of our reviewers gives the final sign-off. Only then do the points land, the area turns green on the map, and the proof becomes public.

Our word

  • No money moves through this site. Pledges are public, person to person.
  • Done means done with proof. The area leader checks, then we do.
  • No politics, no parties. Areas, people and work.
  • The fight against corruption comes later. First we change habits, and areas.
